Edinburg library announces March Teen & Tween programs for ages 11-18

Edinburg, TX – The Dustin M. Sekula Memorial Library will host a series of Teen & Tween programs in March for youth ages 11 to 18.

The programs will take place throughout the month at the library, 1906 S. Closner Blvd., and are organized by the City of Edinburg Library & Cultural Arts Department.

Schedule details

The March lineup begins Sunday, March 8, at 2 p.m. with “Life of Frida & Painting.” The program will focus on the life of artist Frida Kahlo and include a painting activity.

On Sunday, March 15, at 2 p.m., the library will present “How to Open Your First Bank Account,” offering information for teens about opening a bank account.

A resume workshop titled “Creating a Resume for your First Job” is scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, at 6 p.m.

The month concludes with “FAFSA Night” on Thursday, March 26, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., providing information related to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

About the library

The Dustin M. Sekula Memorial Library serves as the public library for the City of Edinburg. Named in honor of Marine Lance Cpl. Dustin Michael Sekula, an Edinburg native, the facility provides books, digital resources and community programming for residents of all ages.
