Edinburg, TX – The Edinburg Police Department will host a Coffee With a Cop event on Feb. 18, inviting residents to meet and speak with local officers in an informal setting.

The event is scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Dunkin’, located at 1708 W. University Drive in Edinburg. Organizers said the gathering will provide an opportunity for community members to ask questions, voice concerns and engage in conversation with officers who serve the area.

The department described the event as having no formal agenda or speeches, focusing instead on open dialogue between residents and law enforcement.

Community engagement effort

Coffee With a Cop is designed to strengthen relationships between police officers and the community through face-to-face interaction. Officials said the event aims to foster communication and trust by creating a relaxed environment for discussion over coffee.
