Hidalgo County Mails 2025 Property Tax Statements

Edinburg, TX – Hidalgo County Tax Assessor-Collector Pablo (Paul) Villarreal Jr. announced this week that 2025 consolidated property tax statements have been mailed to property owners across the county. The new statements, printed on light yellow paper, include taxes for all participating county entities and municipalities.

The consolidated bills cover multiple jurisdictions, including Hidalgo County, Drainage District No. 1, South Texas ISD, South Texas College, the Red Sands Groundwater Conservation District, and the four Hidalgo County EMS districts. Municipal taxes are also included for all area cities, from Alamo and Edinburg to Weslaco. Local school districts such as Edinburg CISD, PSJA ISD, and Mission CISD are also listed.

Property owners who do not receive their statement may print one from the county’s website at www.hidalgocountytax.org or call the main office for assistance.

Payments can be made online using a credit or debit card or e-check, or in person with cash or check at any Lone Star National Bank location within Hidalgo County. Residents must bring either their original yellow statement or an online printout when paying at the bank.

Tax offices are open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the following locations:
