Homeowners Invited to 3rd Annual Homestead Exemption Registration Event On Wednesday, Oct. 15

Edinburg TX – Residents looking to learn more about property tax savings can attend the 3rd Annual Homestead Exemption Registration Event on Wednesday, Oct. 15, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Edinburg Arts, Culture, and Events (ACE) Center, located at 315 W. McIntyre St.
Personnel from the Hidalgo County Appraisal District will be available to answer questions about the homestead exemption and assist residents with completing applications. The event aims to help homeowners understand qualification requirements and ensure their documentation is in order.
Attendees are asked to bring a Texas Driver’s License or state-issued identification card, with an address matching the property for which the exemption is being claimed.
To qualify for the Homestead Partial Exemption (PTC 11.13), the property owner must occupy the home as their principal residence and must not be claiming a residence homestead exemption on any other property.
