Today: Library Hosts Nutrition Class on Healthy Eating and Active Living

Edinburg, TX – The Dustin Michael Sekula Memorial Library will continue its free nutrition series, Eating Smart, Being Active, on Thursday, Oct. 2, at 10 a.m. The five-week program is designed to help participants make healthier food choices and incorporate more physical activity into their daily routines.
This week’s session will focus on the benefits of fruits, vegetables and whole grains, offering practical guidance on how to build balanced meals that support overall health. The program is presented in partnership with the City of Edinburg’s Health and Human Services Department.
The series, which began in September, also includes lessons on meal planning, shopping smart, incorporating lean proteins and strengthening bones. The final class on Oct. 16 will conclude with a celebration and certificate of completion for participants.
