South Texas Health System’s New $100 Million, Five-Story Patient Tower

EDINBURG, TX –We’re beaming with pride for South Texas Health System! Yesterday, they celebrated an exciting moment in STHS Edinburg history, the topping off of their new five-story patient tower. A special ceremony was held to mark the completion of the building’s structure, as STHS Edinburg CEO directed the construction crew to place the final beam atop the structure.

Their new $100 million, five-story patient tower is located here in the City of Edinburg, and we could not be more excited. The beam was signed by staff members, construction workers and local leaders.

The steel beam is adorned with a palm tree, a Valley twist on the Scandinavian tradition, symbolizing positivity for the building’s future occupants, continued growth, and a job well done.

All of this would not have been possible without the incredible local workers who helped them along the way.
