Edinburg Rotary Club Marks 100 Years of Service at Centennial Banquet

EDINBURG TX – The Rotary Club of Edinburg celebrated its centennial anniversary with a formal Installation Banquet on June 12, reflecting on a century of community service and charitable giving.

The event honored outgoing President Manuel Cantu, whose 2024–2025 term saw more than $64,000 donated to local causes. Beneficiaries included the Boys & Girls Club of Edinburg, the Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley, local student scholarships, and hurricane relief efforts.

Arlina Casas Larson was installed as the club’s 2025–2026 president during the evening ceremony. In her remarks, Larson introduced this year’s theme, “All In. All Together,” emphasizing the club’s ongoing commitment to hands-on service and community support.

“We show up — for our neighbors, our community, and each other,” Larson said. “And we do it with heart, with purpose, and for the love of Rotary.”

Larson also outlined her vision for the year, focusing on service, generosity, kindness, and joy as guiding principles for the club’s work.

The 2025–2026 board of directors includes: Casey Smith (President-Elect), Manuel Cantu (Immediate Past President), Trecia Munal (Secretary), Rebecca Morrison (Treasurer), and directors Kevin Huff, Tim Smith, Danny Torres, Rose Ybarra, Elias Longoria, Mike Tamez, Rene Verduzco, Ron Cavazos, Martin Randall, Marla Maldonado, and Nayeli Zenteno.
