Edinburg to Host Two-Day Holiday Celebration: Miracle on McIntyre

EDINBURG, Texas – The City of Edinburg is ushering in the holiday season with the Miracle on McIntyre, a two-day celebration featuring festive activities for families and community members. The event includes a tree lighting ceremony, a holiday market, and the Night of Lights Parade, promising to bring seasonal cheer to the area.

The festivities begin Thursday, Dec. 5, with a Tree Lighting Ceremony at Promenade Park Amphitheater at 6 p.m. Attendees can explore a holiday market open until 9 p.m., enjoy carolers, take photos with Santa, and experience a snow slide. Vendors will offer seasonal food and unique holiday gifts.

On Friday, Dec. 6, the celebration continues with the Night of Lights Parade, organized by the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce. Starting at 7 p.m. along Closner Boulevard in downtown Edinburg, the parade will feature illuminated floats reflecting the theme “Country Christmas.” The parade is expected to highlight festive traditions with a rustic flair.

The Edinburg Holiday Market will also run from 6-10 p.m. on Friday, offering additional shopping and dining opportunities. Adding to the excitement, the Edinburg Fire Department will host the Sirens and Santa Firestoppers Festival, rescheduled from October. The festival will include an animal exhibit, games, mini golf, and fire prevention activities for families to enjoy.

The Miracle on McIntyre is designed to create lasting memories and celebrate the holiday spirit with the community.
