Edinburg TX – The City of Edinburg Parks and Recreation Department will host its 6th Annual Triathlon on Sunday, Aug. 16, 2026, beginning at 7:30 a.m. at the Edinburg Municipal Pool, 125 E. Mark S. Peña Dr. The registration fee is $30. The first 300 registrants will receive a T-shirt.
Race Distances by Division
- Ages 12 and under: 100-meter swim, 4.5-mile bike, 1-mile run
- Recreation 13 and up: 100-meter swim, 4.5-mile bike, 1-mile run
- Competitive: 200-meter swim, 9-mile bike, 2-mile run
The swimming portion will take place in the shallow end of the pool at a depth of 4 feet. Age division awards will be presented in the competitive category only. Spotters are allowed.
Packet Pickup
- Thursday, Aug. 13: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Friday, Aug. 14: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Sunday, Aug. 16 (race day): 6 to 7:15 a.m.
