Edinburg TX – Today is the day some parents dread: the last day of school and it’s an early release day!

The backpacks are packed, the pencils are down, and summer is officially on the way. Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District will wrap up the 2025-2026 school year today, June 2, 2026, with an early release day across all campuses.

Elementary students will be the first ones out the door at 12:15 p.m., followed by middle schoolers at 1:30 p.m. High school students will close out the year at 2:30 p.m.

Parents are encouraged to plan accordingly and have their pick-up plans ready ahead of the early dismissal times.
