Edinburg, TX – The City of Edinburg will implement a new online payment system for utility bills beginning April 1, 2026. According to the announcement, the updated system will allow residents to make payments without the $1.60 online municipal payment fee previously applied to transactions. The new platform will provide options for both recurring and one-time payments.

Payment options

Residents who currently use auto-pay will need to re-establish recurring payment settings in the new system starting April 1. The city said customers may create an online account using an email address and phone number to manage automatic payments. Users who prefer manual transactions may continue to make one-time payments through the online portal.

Customers can access the new payment platform by visiting the City of Edinburg utilities web portal and selecting the payment option. The system allows users to search for their account using an account number or by entering a street number and name. Payments can be completed using a credit card or e-check through the online system.
