Edinburg sets Feb. 7 date for David Chavana 10K, Miracle Mile returns Feb. 6

Edinburg, TX – The City of Edinburg has set the dates for the 44th annual David Chavana 10K Run/Walk and the 11th annual Miracle Mile, continuing a long-running tradition that draws thousands of participants to the city each year.

Both events will take place at Richard Flores Stadium, with registration now open through the city’s Parks and Recreation Department.

Race schedule and locations

The David Chavana 10K Run/Walk is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, at Richard Flores Stadium. The 10K Run/Walk will begin at 7:30 a.m., followed by the Fun Run at 10 a.m.

The Miracle Mile will be held Friday, Feb. 6, 2026, at 6 p.m., also at Richard Flores Stadium. The event is designed as an inclusive walk and run that highlights participation from the special needs community.

City officials said participation in the Miracle Mile is free of charge. The event is intended to promote inclusion and community involvement while providing a welcoming environment for participants of all abilities.

Registration details

Online and in-person registration for all events is open through Wednesday, Feb. 4, at 11:59 p.m.

In-person registration is available at the Parks and Recreation office located at 315 Mark S. Peña Drive. Registration hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
