Edinburg, TX – The City of Edinburg is encouraging residents to kick off the new year by enrolling in its curbside recycling program, offering an affordable and convenient way to reduce household waste.

The curbside recycling service, managed by the City of Edinburg Solid Waste Management Department, is available for a monthly fee of $5, with collections scheduled twice each month. City officials said the program is designed to make recycling accessible while supporting Edinburg’s long-term environmental and sustainability goals.

How to sign up

Residents can enroll in the program online by visiting cityofedinburg.com. From the homepage, users can navigate to the “How Do I” tab and select “Sign-up for Recycling Services,” where they can complete the curbside recycling service application.

Once enrolled, participants will receive a city-issued recycling bin for curbside collection.

Supporting sustainability

City officials said increasing participation in curbside recycling helps reduce landfill waste, conserve natural resources and promote a cleaner community. The program complements other solid waste initiatives offered throughout the year, including brush and bulk collection and seasonal recycling efforts.
