Edinburg, TX – Edinburg police are investigating an aggravated robbery reported Thursday afternoon at a business along East University Drive.

Robbery reported at Xoom Express

According to the Edinburg Police Department, officers responded at about 12:48 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, to a robbery at Xoom Express, located at 1402 E. University Drive. Investigators determined that two male suspects were involved in the incident.

Suspects’ actions and descriptions

Police said one suspect, armed with a handgun, robbed a customer inside the business and then forced an employee to give access to store funds, including the cash register and an on-site ATM. The second suspect remained outside the business and acted as a lookout.

The armed suspect was described as wearing a black-and-white jacket and a cap. The lookout was described as wearing a camouflage-style cap, a maroon shirt with white stripes, and blue jeans. No injuries were reported.
