Edinburg, TX – Hidalgo County is starting the new year with a range of employment opportunities across multiple departments, according to a weekly job openings announcement released for the week of Monday, Dec. 29.
Hidalgo County officials listed six current openings, offering positions that range from public health and transportation to mechanics and information technology, with salaries spanning from the low $30,000s to more than $50,000 annually.

The latest positions include bus driver/maintenance with a listed salary of $32,752, equipment operator III at $47,428, and mechanic IV with a salary of $52,683. Additional openings include public health technician I at $37,650, system support specialist I at $43,915, and TB medical technician at $30,741.
