Texas Tropical Trail to Highlight Monte Alto and Hargill in November Tour

Edinburg, TX – The Texas Tropical Trail Region will host its 227th Partner Event on Tuesday, Nov. 18, with a daylong tour of the Monte Alto and Hargill communities. The event begins at 9:30 a.m. at Rio Farms, Inc., 25601 FM 88 in Monte Alto.
Participants will gather at Rio Farms for light refreshments before taking a guided tour of the facility’s agricultural operations and citrus orchards. A presentation on the history and significance of Delta Lake will follow, highlighting the lake’s role in supporting surrounding Delta Area communities. Attendees will then travel to Delta Lake for a brief visit before heading to Hargill.
Lunch will be held at Hargill Tacos, a local favorite known for its authentic menu. Afterward, the group will tour community landmarks including the Hargill Post Office and the First Baptist Church, guided by local resident and community leader Margie Pollock.
The day will conclude with a Texas Tropical Trail Region Board of Directors meeting, open to all attendees.
