City Announces Parade Route Adjustments, Safety Measures for Veterans Day Celebration

Edinburg, TX – The City of Edinburg is alerting residents to road closures and restricted areas along the Veterans Day Parade route on Saturday, Nov. 8, due to ongoing construction of the Downtown Parking Garage.

As part of the safety plan, the public will not be allowed to sit on the corner of West McIntyre Street and North Closner Boulevard. In addition, West Kuhn Street between North 10th Avenue and North Closner Boulevard will be closed during the parade.

The annual Veterans Day Parade will begin at Richard R. Flores Stadium and end on Kuhn Street, honoring local veterans and service members from all military branches. City officials urge attendees to plan ahead, choose alternate viewing areas, and follow all posted detours and safety signs.
