Overnight Closures Planned on I-69C Southbound in Edinburg

Edinburg, TX – Southbound lanes of Interstate 69C in Edinburg will be closed nightly over the next two weeks as paving operations take place, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

The full closures will occur between Exit 11, north of Ramseyer Road, and U.S. Business Highway 281. Work is scheduled from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on weeknights. During these hours, all southbound traffic will be detoured to the frontage road.

Drivers are advised to expect delays, follow posted detours and allow extra travel time through the area. TxDOT recommends using alternate routes when possible and exercising caution near crews and equipment.

The nighttime work is part of ongoing improvements to the I-69C corridor, aimed at enhancing roadway safety and surface quality.
