ECISD Board Hires Staff For Vacant Positions

EDINBURG TX – The Edinburg CISD Board of Trustees approved the appointment of personnel to a number of vacant administrative and leadership positions during a last night’s special called meeting.

After a lengthy closed door session, the Board took the following personnel actions:

• Jeanetta Camaro, Financial Aid Officer at Edinburg High School
• Vanessa Garcia, Social Worker, Bat etts/Esparza Elementary
• Melissa Cantu, Migrant Coordinator for the Federal Programs Department
• The Coordinator of Legal/Title IX in the Personnel Department was pulled for the next board meeting.
• Miriam Ramblas, Head Soccer Coach at Edinburg High School
• Idalia Gonzalez, Counselor at Hargill Elementary School
• The Counselor at Truman Elementary School was pulled for the next board meeting.
• Edith Cortez, Curriculum Assistant at Austin Elementary School
• Catherine Sanchez, Principal at Crawford Elementary School
• Jose Villarreal, Director of Facilities for the Maintenance and Facilities Department
• Iris Ortiz, Counselor at Vision Academy.

The board also approved the termination of three at-will employees.
