Leadership Edinburg Accepting Applications for 2025–2026 Class

EDINBURG TX — The Edinburg Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for the 2025–2026 cohort of Leadership Edinburg, a nine-month leadership development program aimed at cultivating emerging community leaders.

To launch the application period, the Chamber will host a recruitment mixer on Thursday, July 31, at Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux, located at 415 W. Trenton Rd. in Edinburg. The event is open to anyone interested in learning more about the program.

Established in 1988, Leadership Edinburg provides participants with hands-on experiences and issue-based learning across key community sectors such as healthcare, public safety, education, and economic development. The program begins with an overnight retreat in September and continues with monthly sessions held every third Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

In addition to scheduled sessions, participants will collaborate on a community project and are required to attend two local government meetings as part of the program’s civic engagement component.
