Special Olympics Spring Games Set for April in Edinburg

EDINBURG TX — Nearly 2,000 athletes from across the Rio Grande Valley are set to compete in the 2025 Special Olympics Texas RGV Spring Games, scheduled for April 3–4 at Richard R. Flores Stadium in Edinburg.

The two-day track and field event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. Admission is free and open to the public.

The games will feature a variety of competitions, including relay races and field events. Organizers are encouraging families and community members to attend and support the athletes, who exemplify perseverance, determination, and sportsmanship.

The event is hosted in partnership with Edinburg CISD, the City of Edinburg, and sponsors including Driscoll Health Plan. Volunteers are also welcome to assist in supporting the games.
