South Texas International Film Festival Opens Submissions for Its 10th Annual Event

Edinburg, TX, Dec. 18, 2023 — The City of Edinburg announced that the 10th Annual South Texas International Film Festival (STXIFF) is now accepting submissions for its 2024 edition, scheduled to take place from September 11-14, 2024. This milestone event promises attendees an immersive experience with a diverse selection of films, engaging workshops, thought-provoking panel discussions, and unique opportunities to interact with celebrities and film industry experts.
The STXIFF, held annually in Edinburg, Texas, serves as a global platform for visionary filmmakers, showcasing their work from various corners of the world. Renowned for its warm South Texas hospitality, the festival emphasizes personal engagement with filmmakers and offers a welcoming space for both established and emerging storytellers.
The call for entries for the 10th STXIFF officially opened on November 1, 2023, and filmmakers have until 11:59 p.m. on May 7, 2024, to submit their creations. The festival will announce its official selections on June 15, 2024, through email notifications to filmmakers and across STXIFF’s social media platforms.
Films in the categories of Short or Feature, spanning various genres, are welcome, with short films falling within the 2 to 40-minute range and feature films spanning 40 to 120 minutes. STXIFF invites submissions in narrative films, documentaries, music videos, and animations. Eligible films must have been completed after January 1, 2021, and should not be publicly available online or for purchase or renting.

- Regular Entry: December 1 – March 31
- Late Entry: April 1 – May 7
