UPDATE: Edinburg PD arrest one murder suspect, another still sought
Edinburg TX, August 2, 2023 — Today at about 2:30 p.m., Edinburg Police Department detectives arrested 44-year-old Edgar Ivan Gonzalez at the 6500 block of S. 23rd St. in McAllen.
Gonzalez had an outstanding warrant from the Edinburg Police Department in connection to the murder of 32-year-old Eric Michael Garcia on July 23 at the 3900 block of Garfield Ave. in Edinburg.
Gonzalez, a resident of Reynosa, Tamaulipas, is set to be arraigned at a later time at the Edinburg Municipal Court.
The Edinburg Police Department is still actively searching for the second murder suspect, Juan Miguel Herrera Gomez.
