Edinburg, TX, June 12, 2023 – Kat Lozano is a talented actor known for her exceptional voice-acting skills. Born and raised in Edinburg, Texas, she graduated from Edinburg North High School in 2003. After completing high school, Kat pursued further education and training at Oklahoma City University.

Currently residing in London, UK, Kat has become a prominent voice actor in the entertainment industry. Her career highlights include originating the voice of Sofia in the highly anticipated video game ‘Park Beyond,’ set to launch on June 16, 2023, for PlayStation 5, Steam, and Xbox Series X|S. A Mexican-American engineer, Sofia guides gamers in creating thrilling theme park rides. Kat’s exceptional voice-over work can also be heard in popular games like Tom Clancy: The Division 2 and projects for Disney Studios.
Reflecting on her time at ECISD, Kat fondly remembers the abundance of opportunities available to students. Beyond the core academic subjects, ECISD provided platforms for participation in UIL Academics, student government, music, drama, and dance. These experiences played a pivotal role in shaping Kat’s well-rounded life.

Kat attributes much of her success to her favorite educator, Mr. David B. Custer, the late choir director at ENHS. Under his guidance, she developed determination and resilience, which have become defining qualities in her life and career.
Passionate about empowering current ECISD students, Kat advises them to focus on building resilience and teamwork through their chosen electives. Whether it be drama, music, student government, or sports, these extracurricular activities teach invaluable lessons in persistence and collaboration.
Kat’s ECISD education has had a profound impact on her life. It equipped her to work effectively in teams, cultivate determination and persistence, and confidently handle various aspects of life admin. From managing budgets to securing mortgages and paying bills, Kat recognizes that her education gave her essential life skills and a solid foundation for success.
As Kat continues to make a mark in the entertainment industry, her journey is a testament to the transformative power of education and the pursuit of one’s passions.
