January 31st Is The Deadline for Paying Property Taxes
Edinburg, Texas – January 31, 2023, is the last day that 2022 taxes may be paid without penalties and interest. Mailed in payments are considered timely if postmarked by January 31, 2023. The Hidalgo County Tax Office business hours are weekdays from 8 a.m. thru 4:30 p.m. at the following locations:

The Edinburg and McAllen offices will be open until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2023.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, taxpayers are encouraged to take advantage of the optional payment options. You can pay your 2022 Taxes online at www.hidalgocountytax.org with Credit/Debit Card or E-Check. You can also pay with cash or check at all Lone Star National Bank locations within Hidalgo County. The original light yellow statement or the online statement is needed when paying at the bank.
