Edinburg Seeks Nominations for ‘Hometown of Heroes’ Half-Marathon Honorees

EDINBURG, TX – The City of Edinburg is calling on residents to nominate local individuals who have made significant contributions to the community for recognition during the upcoming ‘Hometown of Heroes’ Half-Marathon. The event is set to take place on March 9, 2025.
Thirteen individuals will be selected as honorees to represent each mile of the half-marathon. These local heroes will have their stories displayed at mile markers along the course, celebrating their dedication and impact. Eligible nominees include teachers, first responders, military service members, athletes, and community leaders who have gone above and beyond for Edinburg.
To nominate someone, residents must download and complete the nomination form available on the City of Edinburg website at this link. Completed forms should be emailed to [email protected] no later than January 10, 2025.
