Health Talk and Children’s Activities Scheduled at Edinburg Library in April

EDINBURG, TX – The Dustin Michael Sekula Memorial Library is offering a wide range of programs this April, including a health-focused lunch session and weekly children’s activities.
As part of its Brown Bag Lunch Series, the library will host a free presentation on diabetes prevention and maintenance on Monday, April 7 at noon. The session will be led by Mindy Ann Garcés, BSN, RN, and is open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunch. The program will take place at the library, located at 1906 S. Closner Blvd.
In addition to health programming, the library has planned several recurring events for children of all ages throughout April:
- Toddler Time: Tuesdays at 10 a.m. (April 1, 8, 15, 22, 29)
- Homeschool Hour: Wednesdays at 11 a.m. (April 2, 9, 16, 23, 30)
- Pre-School Story Time: Fridays at 10 a.m. (April 4, 11, 25)
- Family Storytime: Thursday, April 10 at 6 p.m.
- STEM Explorers: Thursday, April 17 at 6 p.m.
- Basic Computer Classes (for ages 6–11): Thursdays, April 3 and 24 at 6 p.m.
These programs are designed to support early literacy, education, and creativity in a fun and interactive environment.
