Birding Program to Celebrate Earth Day at Edinburg Library

EDINBURG, TX – The Dustin Michael Sekula Memorial Library will host a special Earth Day-themed program on Saturday, April 12, beginning at 12 p.m.

Presented by the Edinburg Scenic Wetlands & World Birding Center, “Birds of the Valley” will offer families a chance to learn about native bird species found in the Rio Grande Valley. The event also includes hands-on activities such as making peanut seed bark and painting birdhouses, available while supplies last.

The event is part of the City of Edinburg’s ongoing efforts to promote environmental education and community engagement through its Library and Cultural Arts Department.
