Dusty’s Knitters Club to Offer Knitting Sessions in March

Staff Report
EDINBURG TX – The Dustin M. Sekula Memorial Library is inviting the community to explore the art of knitting through Dusty’s Knitters Club this March. Led by instructor Virginia Bishop, the sessions will provide an opportunity for participants to learn how to knit mittens, beanies, and scarves while experiencing the creativity and relaxation that knitting offers.
Knitting is more than just a craft—it’s an art form that allows individuals to create functional and beautiful pieces with their own hands. Many find the rhythmic motion of knitting to be meditative, offering a sense of calm and accomplishment as each stitch comes together to form a finished product. Whether working on a cozy winter accessory or a gift for a loved one, knitting provides a rewarding outlet for creativity and patience.
The club’s adult sessions will be held on Wednesdays at 2 p.m. on March 5, 12, 19, and 26. Sessions open to all ages will take place on Saturday, March 1, at 2 p.m. and Saturday, March 22, at 12 p.m.
The library is located at 1906 S. Closner Blvd. in Edinburg. For more information, call 956-383-6246.
