Hidalgo County District Clerk Laura Hinojosa Receives Texas Association of Counties Service Award

EDINBURG, Texas – Laura Hinojosa, Hidalgo County District Clerk, was honored with the Texas Association of Counties (TAC) Service Award for her dedicated service on the TAC Board of Directors during the 2024 calendar year. The award was presented by TAC Executive Director Susan Redford in recognition of Hinojosa’s leadership and advocacy on behalf of Texas counties.
“You have a superstar amongst you here,” Redford said during the presentation. “Ms. Hinojosa was so effective and well respected by her peers that she was appointed for a second term. We were grateful to have her voice representing Hidalgo County and counties across Texas.”
The TAC Board of Directors serves as the governing body of the organization, which advocates for the needs of all Texas counties. Board members oversee policy decisions, manage the association’s budget, and represent county governments on legislative matters. Hinojosa previously served on the board from 2019 to 2020.
“It truly has been an honor to serve on the TAC Board of Directors and collaborate with elected officials across the state,” Hinojosa said. “I’m grateful to Susan and the TAC team for their efforts in advocating for counties and supporting us in finding solutions to the challenges we face.”
