Police Investigate Shooting, Burglary in Edinburg

EDINBURG — Police are investigating a burglary and shooting that occurred Tuesday night at a residence on the 400 block of North 12th Street.

Officers with the Edinburg Police Department responded to the scene around 10:30 p.m. after reports of an armed break-in. According to initial findings, four men dressed in dark clothing forced their way into the home. During the incident, one of the suspects fired a gun, injuring an 18-year-old male victim in the leg. Authorities described the injuries as non-life-threatening.

Police initiated a search for the suspects, but they remain at large. Investigators believe the attack was a targeted incident.

The investigation is ongoing, and police urge anyone with information to contact the department.
