Edinburg Library to Host Holly Jolly Winter Celebration on Dec. 12

EDINBURG, Texas — The Dustin Michael Sekula Memorial Library will host its annual Holly Jolly Winter Celebration on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 1906 South Closner Blvd.
The family-friendly event will feature games, activities, and live Christmas caroling, with a special appearance by Santa Claus. Children will have the opportunity to meet Santa, pose for photos, and hand-deliver their letters to him.
Local organizations, including the Edinburg Fire Department, the Museum of South Texas History, and the Edinburg Scenic Wetlands and World Birding Center, will host interactive booths. Local children’s book authors will also participate, providing entertainment for visitors of all ages.
The South Texas Literacy Coalition will distribute free books to attendees, emphasizing the library’s mission to promote literacy and foster a love for reading.
