Edinburg Launches Holiday Home Decorating Contest with Festive Awards

EDINBURG, Texas — The City of Edinburg is inviting residents to participate in its annual “Deck The House” Holiday Decorating Contest, a spirited competition celebrating creative and festive holiday displays.

Registration runs from Dec. 2 through Dec. 13, 2024, at 7 p.m. Participants can showcase their holiday spirit and vie for awards in categories including:

• Whoville’s Choice: Most Traditional Festive
• Holiday Classic: Most Elegant and Clean Display
• Griswold Award: Brightest Entry, Judges’ Choice/Best Overall
• Buddy the Elf Award: Most Creative Use of Lights/Decorations

The contest encourages homeowners to transform their properties into vibrant holiday showcases, competing for accolades and neighborhood bragging rights. Winners will be announced on Dec. 17.
