Hidalgo County DA to Co-Host Domestic Violence Awareness Press Conference on October 17

EDINBURG – Hidalgo County District Attorney Toribio “Terry” Palacios’ Office, in partnership with the Rio Grande Valley District Attorneys Coalition, will host its annual press conference for Domestic Violence Awareness Month on Oct. 17, 2024. The event will be held at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Edinburg Campus.

This year’s conference, organized alongside the UTRGV Criminal Justice Department and the Criminal Justice Honor Society, will bring together district attorneys from the region to raise awareness and provide education on domestic violence prevention. The press conference will be a unified effort by DAs from four counties: Hidalgo, Cameron, Willacy, and the 229th District.

The event is open to the public, and attendees are encouraged to wear purple in support of Domestic Abuse Awareness.
