Edinburg Chamber of Commerce Seeks Nominations for New Board Members

EDINBURG, TX, July 17, 2024 — The Edinburg Chamber of Commerce is inviting nominations for a new board member position, offering a significant opportunity for passionate business professionals to contribute to their community.
“We are seeking dedicated individuals who are enthusiastic about serving their community and effectively serving our 500+ business members,” said Ronnie Larralde, Executive Director of the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce.
Board Member Requirements:
- Membership: Candidates must be a member or an employee of a business that is a member of the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce in good standing.
- Residency/Employment: Candidates must live or work in Edinburg.
- Meeting Attendance: Board meetings are held on the third Monday of each month.
- Committee Service: Board members must serve on their assigned Chamber committee.
- Event Participation: Attendance at Chamber-sponsored functions annually.
- Membership Support: Assist in recruiting and retaining Chamber members.
- Fundraising: Participate in fundraising efforts for the Chamber.
- Advocacy: Serve as an enthusiastic advocate for the Chamber.
Directors will serve three-year terms from Oct. 1, 2024, to Sept. 30, 2027, with the possibility of serving an additional term.

The Edinburg Chamber of Commerce, established in 1937, represents over 500 businesses in the region. It aims to promote economic growth, advocate for business interests, and enhance the quality of life in Edinburg. The Chamber offers a variety of programs and services to support local businesses, including networking events, educational workshops, and community initiatives.
