Edinburg City Election Features 3 Competitive Races
Edinburg, Texas, Sept. 18, 2023 –Edinburg voters will have to decide between six candidates in the upcoming November city election. With two city council and the municipal judge posts up this November, the election will again feature competitive races..
Place 3 incumbent Johnny Garcia drew an opponent in David Salazar Jr.
Place 4 incumbent David White drew an opponent in Gerardo “Gerry” Lozano. Incumbent Edinburg
Municipal Court Judge Hector Bustos drew a challenger in Armando M. Guerra.
The last day to file for a place on the November election was August 21. Other important dates for Edinburg residents to keep in mind include:

- Monday, October 23, 2023: First Day of Early Voting
- Friday, October 27, 2023: Last Day to Apply for Ballot by Mail (Received, not Postmarked)
