Two Men Wanted For Multiple Aggravated Robberies
On Monday, June 6th, 2022 around 3:30 AM, Edinburg police officers were called to a business in the 500 East Block of University Drive in reference to a robbery. The two men are captured on surveillance video walking into the business. One of the suspects displayed a black handgun while the other carried a duffle bag. Both individuals are seen taking off from the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and store merchandise.
About two hours later, police say the same two men entered another business in the 8300 block of North I-69. One of the suspects displayed a black handgun as the individuals demanded money from the clerk at the register.
During the course of the investigation, detectives learned deputies with the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office also responded to a robbery in the 6700 block of East Highway 107 on that same day. Investigators say the clothing and description of the suspects match that of the suspects from the other two armed robberies.
The gunman is described as a man about 5’10” in height, weighing approximately 170lbs, wearing a black hoodie, and a large ring on his left pinky finger.
The second suspect is described as a man 5’11” to 6’ tall, weighing about 230 lbs, wearing a red hoodie with the words ‘Sharyland’ across the front.
If anyone has information about the identities or whereabouts of these two individuals, please contact the Edinburg Police Department at 289-7700 or Edinburg Crime Stoppers at 383-TIPS.
