9th Annual UFO Festival Lands In Edinburg This Weekend

EDINBURG, TX – The City of Edinburg will be hosting the 9th Annual UFO Festival and Conference from April 7th – 9th, 2022. This three-day award-winning Festival will include an Incident site visit and BBQ, a family-friendly festival full of activities.

The Festival kicks off on April 7th with the UFO BBQ and Incident Site Visit from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Join us for a presentation on the history of the 1966 Edinburg UFO Incident presented by our guest speaker, Noe Torres, followed by a tour of the incident site. We will also open the floor to the audience to share their encounters with extraterrestrials. This event is ticketed; tickets can be purchased for $40 at Edinburgufo.com/tickets; pre-sale tickets only; no at-the-door sales will be available. The address to the Incident Site will be emailed privately to ticket holders.

On April 8th is the family-friendly UFO Festival. This free event is full of activities that the entire family will enjoy! This Festival features attractions such as tin foil hats, a laser light, a lizard/reptilian show, fire dancers, areal performers, carnival rides, and much more! We close off the night with a Robot Dance Party with DJ Haz. We will also be hosting many of our local food and merchandise vendors! Come out and show your support! The Festival will take place at the Edinburg City Hall Courtyard at 415 W. University Dr. in Edinburg

On April 9th, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, the Festival comes to a close with a fantastic conference that will feature several UFO Experts with extensive research and presenting experience, including  Edinburg resident, Noe Torres who is a recognized expert in the field of UFOs and the paranormal, an author, publisher, and former Texas State section director for the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON). Torres has appeared on a number of nationally broadcast television shows, including Travel Channel’s Mysteries Of The Outdoors, and George Noory’s famous radio show Coast To Coast.

Guest Speaker, Ken Gerhard is a widely recognized cryptozoologist, author, and lecturer who frequently appears on major networks, including Travel Channel, Science Channel, National Geographic, and Animal Planet. Gerhard has traveled the world searching for evidence of mysterious creatures including Bigfoot, the Loch Ness monster, the chupacabra, mothman, and the beast of Gevaudan.

Peter Robbins is an investigative writer, author and lecturer whose writing and research are focused on the subject of truly anomalous UFOs and their implications for humanity. He’s also host of the live weekly two-hour radio talk show, “Meanwhile, Here on Earth” on KGRA digital broadcasting. From 2007 until 2010 Robbins served as consultant to the City of Roswell, New Mexico and was their liaison to Gov. Richardson’s office on UFO-related matters.

Mike Bara is a regular contributor to the television programs Ancient Aliens, America’s Book Of Secrets, and The Unexplained With William Shatner, all of which continue to show in heavy rotation on the History Channel and A&E Networks. He has also appeared as a featured expert on UFOs: The Lost Evidence for The Travel Channel. In 2014, he starred in the reality mini-series Uncovering Aliens for the Discovery Channel, where he travelled throughout the country with a team of experts to various UFO sighting sites.

Christopher O’Brien has investigated hundreds of unexplained events in South-Central Colorado/North-Central New Mexico and has appeared on over 80 TV show segments and hundreds of radio programs including Coast To Coast, Ancient Aliens, UFO Hunters, Inside Edition, Extra, and many more.  O’Brien has worked with law enforcement officials, ex-military, ranchers and an extensive network of skywatchers and has documented one of the most intense waves of unexplained activity ever reported from a single geographic region of North America. His research has provided extensive findings that have been featured in some of his books.

Daniel Alan Jones will be our Master of Ceremonies, he is the host and producer for The Vortex, a show that explores the mysteries of the world and beyond. Daniel has been researching unexplained phenomena for over a decade and has investigated strange sites, conducted numerous interviews, and provided media coverage for several events. His new book “Aurora” chronicles over a century of history about UFO sightings, alien encounters, going back to a Texas legend from 1897.

Our guest speakers will present their investigative work on the UFO phenomena and share their expertise with the attendees.
