City of Edinburg Receives Two Awards

EDINBURG, TX – The City of Edinburg has received two awards! The first award is the 2021 Community Economic Development Award (CEDA.) The Texas Economic Development Council has recognized Edinburg with a 2021 CEDA for its resilience, recovery, and outstanding achievement in pandemic recovery efforts with a population between 100,001-250,000.

Nominees were judged on five criteria: innovativeness, transferability, community commitment and leverage, measured objectiveness, and secondary benefits.

Great teamwork took to accomplish this, but at the City of Edinburg, we are ALL committed to provide resources, opportunities and improve the quality of life for our residents.

And that is not all, Edinburg has also earned a Scenic City Certification where the City ranked Gold. Edinburg has demonstrated its commitment to shaping a truly Scenic City that serves as an inspiration to others. All this would not be possible without great leadership, teamwork and integrity from everyone who makes up the City of Edinburg!
