18 Wheeler Accident Ties Up Traffic on I-69

On Tuesday, January 10, 2023 just after 10:00 pm, Edinburg police units responded to the 8400 block of north I-69C northbound lanes in reference to a one vehicle accident. Upon arrival officers observed a Kenworth Tractor pulling an enclosed trailer that was on its side. 

Through the investigation, officers learned the tractor trailer was traveling northbound when one of its tires blew out causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The driver, a 52 year old male from Elsa, was transported to DHR with minor injuries.

The northbound lanes to I-69C were closed while the vehicle was cleared off the road.
